    Building Healthy Relationships

Jesus Christ taught us to love our neighbors as ourselves (see Matthew 22:39). Throughout His life, He exemplified the principles of loving others, including forgiveness, empathy, listening, and patience. Whether you want to strengthen an existing relationship or heal from an unhealthy one, the Savior can help you.

Building Healthy Family Relationships and Friendships

Healthy relationships in families and with others are built on principles like respect, boundaries, kindness, service, patience, and love.

    Developing a Healthy Marriage

Marriage is a beautiful relationship that can bring great happiness and strength. You can strengthen your marriage through simple and meaningful things like:

    • Spending quality time together.
    • Communicating with love.
    • Keeping your covenants.

    Identifying and Healing from Abuse

President Russell M. Nelson taught, “Any kind of abuse of women, children, or anyone is an abomination to the Lord” (“What Is True?” Liahona, Nov. 2022). This goes for any type of abuse, including:

    • Emotional (psychological, verbal)
    • Physical
    • Sexual

If you are experiencing abuse, seeking safety, or working to heal from past trauma, you’re not alone. The Savior offers hope, healing, and peace.

    Managing and Recovering from Divorce

Some marriages come to a point where divorce is necessary. Regardless of the reason, Jesus Christ loves you and will support you through the process. The Church has resources to help you:

    • Navigate the divorce process.
    • Co-parent effectively.
    • Turn to the Savior for hope and strength.
